The Seghesio family-owned winery started in the year 1895 when Edoardo Seghesio, an Italian immigrant and winemaker, planted the first Zinfandel vineyard in the Alexander Valley located in Sonoma County. In keeping with its Old-Vine routes, this Zinfandel is full of ripe blackberry and plums, baking spices, smooth tannins and intense structure. Seghesio recommends enjoying this with Beef Braciole, mushroom sugo, and cherry balsamic pork tenderloin.
