A right bank Bordeaux style blend, Hudson H-block is a true showstopper, cellared to perfection and drinking magnificently now. The fruit is beginning to raisin, in the way you'd hope for and expect but there is still a real juiciness to it, a wine ageing with charm, but holding onto some youthful exuberance. The development provides a hedonistic mix of charred meat, porcini, balsamic, tobacco and old leather. There's some weight and fat left on the wine, it's a long way from dry or dusty. Magnificent now.
