Alban Vineyards are pretty unique in the world of wine in that they are best known for their work with Viognier. Aside from winemakers in Condireu, you'd say Alban, and potentially Yalumba of Australia are the two greatest Viognier producers in the world. Viognier is very difficult to get right, but here you can see what's possible - momentous concentration of peachy fruit, creamy honey (but not at all due to oxidation) and surprising levels of freshness and acid.
